Fire Extinguisher Maintenance

All fire extinguishers need to be inspected and serviced annually to ensure they are in date, certificated and that they will work correctly and efficiently every time, that’s why we invest in training our fire extinguisher service team.

Pyrotec offer fire extinguisher maintenance and fire extinguisher servicing

This means they -

  • Are BAFE Registered Technicians
  • Have been CRB checked
  • Have passed the CSCS Health & Safety scheme
  • Carry a range of fire extinguisher spare parts and refills to service most extinguishers
  • Carry new equipment to supply replacement or additional extinguishers on the fire extinguisher service vans thus avoiding a return visit
  • Issue certificates on completion of each fire extinguisher service visit
  • Provide comprehensive advice and can provide a quotation for additional works

That’s why you can contact us with the confidence that we will manage your fire safety requirements efficiently and effectively.

All our fire extinguisher servicing is carried out to BS5306 parts 3 and 8 by our in-house team of BAFE registered extinguisher service technicians, who can maintain any make and type of extinguisher, and we offer rapid response times.

We offer a range of fire extinguisher maintenance plans to suit our customers’ needs, with annual visits taking place during agreed service months every year. We also provide commissioning certificates every time a new extinguisher is supplied, plus a certificate validating the inspection upon the completion of every visit.

Our bespoke database holds a record of every extinguisher’s location at your site along with the date it was manufactured giving you peace of mind that, if required we can help plan your budgets ahead of the service visit each year.

In this way, whatever your needs, and whatever your budget, you can be certain you will meet your obligations with a fire extinguisher maintenance plan that suits you.

Schedule of Visits

Under BS5306, routine extinguisher service visits should occur annually. However should more regular visits be required this can be arranged.
Once installed, we will test every element to ensure they meet the specified requirements and only when this testing has been carried out will we sign off the project and issue an appropriate certificate.

This approach ensures that not only are your legal obligations met, but you get total peace of mind.

Emergency Response

In the event that an extinguisher is found to be missing, used or tampered with, we can arrange for an emergency response visit.

Under BS5306 we will attend the site within 2 working days or by prior arrangement. We will ask our customers to provide a brief outline of the problem and then the visit is booked with your area technician.
